[edit] Notability?
Since I'm a rookie at this, please forgive me if this article isn't actually notable. If that's the case, should I instead be creating an article about mobile phone management software in general?... And adding MyPhoneExplorer in as a section/mention within that? There doesn't seem to be an article on the Sony Ericsson PC Suite software either, which I would have thought would be notable purely for its ubiquitousness (i.e. it comes with most/all Sony Ericsson phones)
I've added some links to web pages which address the topic of MyPhoneExplorer directly in detail, but I think it could be argued that these are not 'independent of the subject', as I am unaware of how (e.g.) Softpedia, etc. 'find' the software which they provide for download - it may well be that these software download sites need to be approached by the software developer, meaning that these are effectively a form of advertising/self-publicity or are affiliated with the developer (FJ Software).
[n.b. The reason that I created this article was that I found MyPhoneExplorer notable in that it was the only program able to back-up non-Symbian Sony Ericsson phones, and the only way SMS messages can be read/written to/from these phones - however, I know this is not Wikipedia's definition of notibility] Kinger 18:47, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
- Since submitting this article, I've found a German language version of it on Wikipedia and I've linked to this... I'm guessing that if the German version is notable, the English version is notable, too? Kinger 08:08, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Merge Translations
I've found a German language version of this article on Wikipedia (and I've linked to this)... I'm guessing that the articles need to be merged together, so I'll have a look into what merge tags need to be added, etc. but I'm afraid I don't read any more German than Google can translate for me.
