Talk:Mylène Farmer fifth tour

@ Europe22: "Even if these details are wrong, they were mentioned in various media (they are sourced)"
I don't agree. There is a problem in writing about future events anyway. Therefore we should be very careful in our selection of content and sources. Encyclopedia articles should not refer to every rumor, especially in minor cases like stage design, and especially if they are denied by officials. "Mentioned in various media" makes by no means a good source. Newspapers usually quote each other excessively - the original source is in many cases not traceable, and therefore its reliability not determinable. Until May 2, we will see (or hear) many more rumors. They shouldn't all become part of this article. Andreas Steinsieck (talk)
- Even if I understand your reasoning, I'm not quite agree with it. Rumours, when they are relayed in the media, constitute a part of the story of an event - regardless of their truthfulness - and should be included into the section "Background". Moreover, Thierry Suc denied this rumour probably because it was widespread. By the way, this information is summarized in a single line (not a paragraph) in the article, and I think it's reasonable. PS : Sorry, my English is not very good, it is not my native language ! ;-) Europe22 (talk) 21:57, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
