Myfanwy Waring

Myfanwy Waring, actress, was born in Dyfed, Wales in 1977.
She is best known for her role as PC Amber Johannsen in the British drama series, The Bill. She also stars in a TV commercial for a German beer company (Bitburger) in which she plays a very sympathetic waitress who helps a man to stay awake through a tedious speech by bringing fresh beers for everyone. She was also involved in the Asian Tsunami on 26 December 2004. She was swept up by the wave as it came through the Sri Lankan resort she was holidaying at. Luckily, she was unharmed by the ordeal. She went to Rhydcymerau Primary School near Llandeilo then went to Lampeter Comprehensive Secondary School in Lampeter, Ceredigion. She was keen on drama from an early age and has featured in Casualty, numerous commercials like the current Lynx advert with all the bikini clad women running on the beach. She is the one in the red bikini. Her brother Jake Waring runs the wholefood shop in Llandovery. Myfanwy has also starred in a TV advert for Confused.com. She does return to Lampeter on occasions and can sometimes be seen in the Quarry having a few drinks! She recently guest starred in an episode of Torchwood called 'Fragments' as a woman in the nineteenth century.
