Nick Greatrex is a customer adviser working for Travelex dealing with calls from all over the world, mainly the USA.
Nick is originially from Oundle in Northamptonshire, he was born on 5th December 1983.
Nick currently lives with his family including his mother and father along with his brother, TIm. He has many animals including 2 cats and 2 goldfish (one being a saltwater and one being a fresh water) both fish being 13 years old.
Nick studied at Prince William in Oundle up to GCSE standard, he then became a student at Oundle school where he was one of a few students who did not board at the school, instead being a day pupil, he then subiquently studied at the University of Sheffield, with a major in sociology, getting a 2-1 at the end of his 3 year course.
Whilst at University Nick was a major DJ in the Sheffield clubbing scene, DJing at clubs such as Gatecrasher and Revolution (vodka bars), this provided the funding for the initial trip to Equador to aid with his charity. Even though his DJ career kicked off in Sheffield, he was a local DJ at home, where he DJ'ed in Oundle and the sorrounding areas along with his coleague and brother Tim Greatrex. They organised youth nights for local schools and population.
He was also in a band whilst in Sheffield, The Rachael House. The band concisted of members: Stephen Ellams - Vocals & rhythm guitar, Olly Goodwin - Lead Guitar, James Lomas - Drums and Nick - Bass Guitar. The band played at many venues throughout the UK including the Cavern in Liverpool and the Leadmill in Sheffield. The band practiced and recorded at the yellow arch recording studio in Sheffield.
Nick used his degree in Sociology to set up his founding charity Great Aves which was officially set up on 22nd June 2007. The charity involves aiding schools in Equador by providing stationary and temporary teaching arrangements as voulenteers can teach in the schools for the duration of their stay, the main project of the charity is the Arajuno Road Project based in Equador.
In his spare time Nick likes to work out in his home made gym with his friend Joe Poole, they work out to The Village People and Culture Club.
Nick is also an avid football fan, having supported Stoke City F.C. since he was 4 years old, his idol is Peter Crouch who plays for Liverpool F.C.
