[edit] What is Considered Canon?

I feel Phase 2 (Series 8) and the issues surrounding the show being axed (Granada ceasing in-house production and such). Should form a different article. It is too different to the original show (especially in humour) to be considered canon and I feel it takes away from the strength of the original 7 series to discuss the two in the same article.

[edit] Episode guide

The layout of the episode guide on the main page is very untidy. For starters, the title of each episode does not be a header. I think the episode list is extensive enough that it should be moved to it's own entry, as with other shows that have a lot of episodes. What do others think? I agree with reformatting, but I'm not sure it merits its own article. For now I'll just standardise them - even if they are all headers, they should at least all be the same. RobbieG 13:25, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
They don't need to be headers at all, not every episode merits it's own section. Standard bullet points, with just headers for each season, would be much more adequate, and meet Wikipedia's regular formatting. I still think the episodes merit their own entry - there are over 100, and shows with even half of that have their own entry. The episodes take up over 3/4 of the article, and make it look very messy. Jay Firestorm 14:21, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
I 100% agree. Each episode does not need a section. I actually don't think an episode guide is needed, the episode list is fine.

I see someone has created an article for the episodes here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Parents_are_Aliens_episodes I don't see the episodes themselves meriting their own page./

[edit] Are there any die-hard MPAA fans who can recognise quotes?

I was wondering if there was anyone who knows enough about mpaa to identify which episode quotes come from. Would someone be willing to sort out Wikiquote's MPAA page ( http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/My_Parents_Are_Aliens ) so that the quotes are under the right episode headings? There was a request at Wikipedia:Requested moves to move this page to My Parents are Aliens, but our style guideline at Wikipedia is to capitalize verbs in titles, even forms of the verb "to be". Someone else recently started another article at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Parents_Are_Aliens. As they are both about the same show, the two articles should be merged.
