"My Mind Right" is the first single from Memphis Bleek's second studio album, The Understanding. Initially, the song was not a major hit and did not receive much airplay. It was struggling to gain recognition upon its release until, Memphis Bleek recruited Jay-Z, Get Low Records' artist, H. Money Bags, and Beanie Sigel for the heavily-played remix. This version of the song would go on to be a huge hit during the summer of 2000 and would be the #1 song for a while on the rap charts. The single would be Bleek's biggest hit until the next two songs were released from the album. The remix to "My Mind Right" was such a big hit that it was included on his album, while the original version was not.
