Amber's fourth album titled My Kind of World explored her darker, brooding side. The album also allowed her to spread her wings as an artist and no longer be categorized as solely a "Club/Dance" singer. Amber co-wrote 10 of the 12 songs on the album. This album consists of mostly Pop/Rock songs ("Sacrificial Lamb", "Same Old Paradise", "Private War"), Alternative Dance, ("You Move Me", "Voodoo", "Just Like That"), and some Adult Contemporary songs ("Your Kind of World", "More Time for a Child", "City of Pain", "Don't Follow Me Home"). She wanted to gain mainstream acceptance with this album. Although it did not quite happen in terms of chart success, it did happen as she successfully gained new fans in the Pop/Rock and A/C music styles. The album features three hit singles, the bold, "You Move Me", "Voodoo" and "Just Like That." A solid, audicous, thought provoking album.
