MV Empire MacKendrick

MV Empire MacKendrick was a grain ship converted to a merchant aircraft carrier or MAC ship. Her sisterships were: MV Empire MacAlpine, MV Empire MacAndrew, MV Empire MacCallum , MV Empire MacDermott and MV Empire MacRae. They were renamed after the war and converted to general cargo ships.
Entered service as MAC ship December 1943.
Displacement 7,950 tons. Built by Burntisland Shipping Company.
