Lo those many years ago, 26 to be exact, a thunder cloud shook the sky and a ray of light shone from the heavens. The seas boiled and the earth stood still, dreams took winged flight and a child was born. A child born unto a legacy to be a thorn in the ass and nagging gadfly of society. Oh this hell bound child with bad hair and a penchant for big words found many obstacles on the way to enlightenment. An unfortunate personality, endless intellectual curiosity and catholic school seemed to spell ruination for our humble narrator. Loathed and ridiculed, shunned and ostracized, this modern pariah’s future looked dim. Of course, we’re told, those who peak early in life are destined for failure, and the reverse is often true as well. While the child’s enemies are in a race to see who can succumb to their drug addiction first and who can make the most babies, this blessed savior child is on the road to nirvana. A modern day Joan of Arc, here to cleanse the world of it’s sins and lead us to victory. The child is now a woman, eager to fight the good fight and ready to assume leadership of the disenfranchised, the poor, the misunderstood. Delusions of grandeur notwithstanding, I am an unassuming and introverted young woman with plans to take over the world and make it better. My heroes are few, but precious. I cite Bill Hicks, Robert F. Williams, Orson Welles, and Hunter S. Thompson as my inspirations. I detest empty headed celebrities, ignorant conservatives, and unfettered stupidity. I am disgustingly provincial and I’ve never stepped foot outside the U.S., but it is my dream to travel the world. My favorite beer is Red Stripe, my favorite movie “Irreversible”. I’ve seen “Evil Dead 2” over 100 times. I am an encyclopedia of trivial facts and figures. When I grow up, I’d like to be a film maker or writer, start my own magazine or rock band, or perhaps build an army of ordinary super heroes. I’m pretty open.
