Mutahar Fauzia

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dr. Mutahar Fauzia (b. 1952) is an American reproductive endocrinologist and OB/GYN of Pakistani origin. She made headlines in July 2001 for delivering the third set of septuplets known to live past infancy, the Qahtani septuplets.[1]

Dr. Fauzia was born into a well-to-do business family in Lahore, Pakistan in 1952. She attended the Convent of the Sacred Heart School for Girls and later on attended Fatima Jinnah Medical College. She immigrated to the United States in 1981 and did her residency at New York Methodist Hospital in Park Slope, Brooklyn.[2]

Dr. Fauzia completed her fellowship from John Hopkins University in Baltimore. Dr. Fauzia now runs a reproductive endocrinology and OB/GYN private practice in Falls Church, Virginia.[1]

Dr. Fauzia is considered as a humble person who leaves everything on God. She gives credit for all her success to God and preaches to all her patients to obey God and pray for their health. Her critics complain about her simplicity, yet everyone believes that there is something in Dr. Fauzia that makes her different from others.
