Here's my source on the sarabande comment (in May 2005 I wasn't always adding my source ... bad of me ... I'm better now)

It's from the New Grove article on Sarabande,

The source given within the article itself is: B.J. Gallardo (Ensayo de una biblioteca española de libros raros y curiosos, Madrid, 1888–9, iv, 1528. (The "1528" is a page number, not a date. Confused me at first.)
