The article covers only popular music, perhaps it should be named that way (Popular music in the 2000s). GregorB (talk) 02:01, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Michael Jackson
OK these are the sales by Michael Jackson in the 2000's
- Invincible = 8 million
- Number Ones = 7 million
- Multiple other reissues (total combined sales) = 2 million
- Thriller 25 = 2 million copes (Already!!!)
- And 8 years of back catalog sales of his old albums = ???
From that, without looking at his backcatalog sales he has sold about 20 million albums in the 2000's. I imagine if you counted his backcatalog it would be closer to 25 million. That makes him one of the best solo males of the decade and he will still have another studio album out by the fall of the decade. His back catalog is still outselling Madonnas. It is really odd having "Chris Brown" in the lead and not Jackson, Brown is on about 6 million max I believe. I have added MJ to the lead. — Realist2 (Come Speak To Me) 22:14, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
