[edit] Yemeni?

The lede calls him Yemeni, but his father was either Syrian or Iraqi and Yemen is never mentioned in the rest of the article... --Jfruh (talk) 02:40, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

This whole articles is innacurately based on al-Hakem and the other early Arabic works, which are not accurate for the conquest of Iberia. I suspect there is simply contradiction between sources as to his own ethnicity and that of his parents. Which source to trust? Probably none as regards ethnicity. Srnec 03:39, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
