[edit] College
Mustafa Shakur started all but two games during his 4-year tenure with Arizona. After his junior year, Shakur tested the waters of the NBA. However, he pulled his name out of the draft and decided to return to college for his senior year. Had he signed a contract with an agent, he would have been ineligible to play for Arizona during his senior year. He averaged 11.9 points and 6.9 assists in his final year at UA. He finished collegiate career ranked third in Arizona history with 670 assists.
[edit] Professional
Shakur was not selected in the 2007 NBA Draft. However, he was signed by the Sacramento Kings along with fellow rookie Spencer Hawes in July 6, 2007.[2]
He participated in the NBA 2007 Las Vegas Summer League and ranked 4th in assists per game with 6.0[3].
Shakur was released by the Sacramento Kings on November 1, 2007[1] and soon went to Poland, where he signed with the country's dominant team, Prokom. He won Polish Championship with Prokom Trefl Sopot in 2008.
