Mushroom is a song by the krautrock band Can, on their 1971 album Tago Mago. The track lasts for 4 minutes and 8 seconds, which is relatively short by Can's standards. A video was made for the track which has been shown on MTV.
The song has been noted for its similarity to the later "Take Meta Mars" by The Flaming Lips from their album In a Priest Driven Ambulance.
On frontman Damo Suzuki's album V.E.R.N.I.S.S.A.G.E, a version of this song is performed along with one of "Halleluhwah". His band at the time featured Can's Jaki Liebezeit on drums.
The song was covered by the band The Jesus and Mary Chain and is featured on the CD version of Barbed Wire Kisses.
