[edit] subsidary name

What's the source for the name change from Muppets Holding Company to Muppets Studio? MHC has been using the Studio name as a moniker since they started launching new products when the Muppets were acquired by Disney. However, all the latest merchandise still credits Muppets Holding Company, as does Muppets.com —scarecroe 16:41, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

The Muppets Studio, LLC is the actual name of the business referred to by The Walt Disney Company. You will not find any mention of the Muppets Holding Company LLC in any updated Disney literature. --Speedway 14:54, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
Where would one find such Diseny literature? Basically, we need a source. —scarecroe 16:26, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
Muppets Holding Company was changed to The Muppets Studio in 2006. The change in name was due to a management change at the subsidiary and it's movement from the consumer products division to the Disney studios division. The Muppets are no longer part of Disney Consumer Products (as seen on DCP's webpage). The first "The Muppet Studio" copyrighted release was "The Muppets: A Green and Red Christmas" album from Walt Disney Records in Fall 2006. Ps1082 14:01, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
"Muppet Studio," and derivations therein, has been used on some products as an advertising gag. All current merchandise is still being stamped with Muppets Holding Company LLC. There's currently no evidence that the subsidary has received a legal name change on the books. —scarecroe 00:23, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Jim Henson's Muppets.png

Image:Jim Henson's Muppets.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:08, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
