These were a terrible mess with lots overlap, duplicated articles etc. Each "History of..." article should now directly relate to a district page:

• Arkley
  • History of Arkley
• Church End Finchley
  • History of Church End Finchley
• East Finchley
  • History of East Finchley
• Edgware
  • History of Edgware
• Golders Green
  • History of Golders Green
• Mill Hill
  • History of Mill Hill
• North Finchley
  • History of North Finchley

The articles about formal parishes/districts should be named as such - otherwise it is consfusing to the reader as the parish/urban district/municipal boroughs usually covered a greater area than the town they were named after. These articles take the form of the name and status when it was abolished in 1965:

• Municipal Borough of Hendon
• Municipal Borough of Finchley

Redirects can be created for example from Hendon Urban District and the changing status shown in the article. As all these districts are historical anyway the articles do not need to be called "History of..." Please follow these naming conventions. MRSC 10:43, 30 October 2005 (UTC)
