[edit] Goddess Durgaparameshwari Temple of Mundkur
Nearly 1300 year old temple of goddess sri Durgaparameshwari was reconstructed by dedicated devotees in a span of six months under the supervision and guidance of Vedamoorthi Jayarama Acharya, the Chief Priest of the temple . It was a dream come true. Small kids to elderly persons irrespective of caste, creed, age participated in escavation of the oldest temple amongst Inna, Mundkur and mulladka villages. Mundkur being the center for these three villages and neighbouring Ulepady, Balkunje, Bola villages saw the ever happened event in the recent years. Almost all devotees from various cites in India and other countries attended the Brahmakalashabhisheka on 5th February 2006. More than 40,000 devotees had the mahaprasadams in Annadana and more than 90,000 people had the Darshan on that day. Every thing went on peacefully and Vedamoorthi Jayarama Acharya has conveyed his gratitude through this message to all the devotees who helped in reconstruction to Brahmakalasha. The goddess hears the problem and gives the solutions as per the will and wishes of the devotees who visit her without fail which can be heard from various devotees who got benefitted.
Near Mundkur there is one more place to be seen is Kaje Mariamma temple which is 3 kms from Mundkur Temple. Here Goddess Durga is worshipped as Marikamba which started by the children of the locality belonging to six different families. In the current year devotees have decided to rennovate the old temple and perform Brahmakalashabhisheka. Every tuesday the regular poojaas are performed in this temple and altrnative tuesdays Paatri Darshana is conducted where devotees woes are heard by the Darshana patri and remedies are told which come true. Lot of devotees have experienced the power of Marikamba. Devotees interested in visiting can come to Mundkur and have the darshan of both the temples. People who want to send donations for the rennovation can send it in favour of Rennovation Commitee, Kaje Mari Gudi, Mundkur.
We the Mundkurians are proud of both the temples and wish all the devotees to get blessed by the Goddess.
