Mundo de Mentiras (Italian: Mondo delle Bugie; English: "World of Lies") is an Italian soap opera. The show includes several recurring villains from previous soaps.

The story follows a young boy named Michael, who lives with a wealthy family. Two years prior to the first episode, he witnessed his father's murder. His mother, though innocent, is convicted of the crime. Michael spent the years following investigating his father's murder and his mother's false imprisonment. As he comes into control of the inheritance left by his father, he buys his mother from jail and focuses on his search for the truth. With money and power, Michael and his mother, Lucia, fight the injustice and humility of their situation. But as they get closer to uncovering the reality of his father's death, the murderer now hunts them down and does whatever it takes to keep his actions buried.
