Mulakong is a group founded by Roberto G, Marti Snape and Dermott McQuillan (dmc::q). They formed in autumn 2006 after a number of improvised live shows in the hills of the Sierra de las Nieves, Andalucia, Spain. Their early demo's captured the spirit of their approach, music with no barriers and a semblence of improvised and somewhat structured material. Thereafter they started work on their first album (currently in progress) .. this features a blend of electronic, funk, dub and experimental and ambient meanderings.
Loops and sound effects fill their sound space while vocals take a wordsmiths journey through delays and backgrounds.
Their only public shows to date were performed in Ojen, Malaga in May and June 2007 .. the second in "las cuevas de Ojen". Since then and to now, they have been working on their first soon to be released cd.
They all reside in the countryside and village of Alozaina, Malaga.
