[edit] "By itself, it isn't considered cheating because it is difficult to control multiple characters at the same time"

I disagree with this line, because many modern MMOs have auto-attack, auto-follow etc, you can easily have the advantage in multi-boxing without it being difficult to control. I'm not removing the line, but in my opinion that it IS cheating even without the bots. I think it's mostly ignored because it means the player pays for two accounts. --84.92.62.165 18:21, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Being viable doesn't mean it's cheating. --Jeremy Banks 23:25, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
I'd define cheating as exploiting a bug or using a hack to circumvent a normal limitation of the game (e.g. runspeed hacks, unlimited health/ammo etc). Multiboxing is not cheating because you aren't doing anything you couldn't do if you grouped with another player instead; the characters are still subject to all of the rules of the gameworld and are controlled by a human directly. -- Rpvdk 13:38, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
I agree with Rpvdk. Line removed. -- nacarlson 10:29, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
