Mullet Fingers

Mullet Fingers ("real" name: Napoleon Bridger Leep) is the nickname of the hero of the 2002 novel Hoot by Carl Hiaasen, and of the 2006 movie, Hoot based on the novel. Mullet Fingers is a preteen runaway who fights to prevent greedy developers from destroying the fauna, flora and environment of Florida. He lives outside of society and does not wear shoes. In the film he is portrayed by actor Cody Linley.
He is called "Mullet Fingers" because he can catch and release a mullet using only his bare fingers. He is also called "Nature Boy."
He has a sister, Beatrice Leep, called "Beatrice the Bear," and a best friend, Roy Eberhart, called "Cowgirl" and "Tex."
Mullet Fingers always fights for what is right, no matter how crazy it is. He is very smart, knowing how to control alligators and poisonous snakes.
