Muhammad Khurram Khan is an Assistant Professor at Bahria University in Pakistan. His research interests include Biometrics, information and communication security, chaotic cryptography, digital data hiding, and security of intelligent transportation systems (ITS).
Khurram received BCS (Hons) and MCS degrees from Bahria University, Karachi in 2001 and 2002, respectively. In 2006, he earned his PhD degree (Information and Communication Engineering) from Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, People's Republic of China, on a full scholarship granted by the Government of Pakistan and the Government of China. He was awarded the outstanding student award by the Southwest Jiaotong University, China, in 2006. He also got the outstanding Ph.D. Dissertation award from Southwest Jiaotong University.
Khurram is the ever first foreign PhD of Southwest Jiaotong University in the 110 years history of the University. He also became the first foreigner who earned PhD degree in the Sichuan Province of China. He has awarded several scholarships during his academic career. He is the Gold medalist in his MCS degree.
He is a founding group leader of the Research Group for Biometrics and Security at Sichuan Key Lab of Signal & Information Processing, Chengdu, China. This research group is one of the leading research groups in China.
