"This view of Imam Shafi'i has also been attributed to him by his student Hadhrath Rabi in Tareekh Abul Fidah". That is not correct. That statement has no Isnad. Abul Fidah said: "روي" which is a word that is usually used when that attribution is false. In fact it is Shafi accepted the testimony of the three in his books. Ziyad is not even a Sahabi--Islamic 01:37, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
