Mudzi East

Mudzi East is a constituency of Zimbabwe. It belongs to Mudzi district in Mashonaland. This is a rural area.
In the 2005 election, 800 polling officers had been turned away after being labelled MDC sympathisers.[1] ZEC announced that 12 499 people voted. The total votes counted for the candidates was 22 420, leaving 9,921 votes unaccounted for. Ray Kaukonde – Zanu PF candidate – won with 144% of the original vote total, and with extra votes amounting to 79% of the original vote total unexplained. [2]
