Mu Virginis (μ Vir / μ Virginis ) is a star in the constellation Virgo. It also has the traditional name Rijl al Awwa.
Rijl al Awwa is a yellow star of Apparent magnitude 3.88 and spectral class F2 III about 61 light years from Earth.

The medieval name Rijl al Awwa is from the Arabic رجل العوى rijl al-cawwa’ "The foot of the barking (dog)".
