Gladiator, Inc. is a cut-and-sew producer of military textiles and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the U.S. Military and allied forces abroad. It was founded in March of 2007 by Joseph and Kathryn Tomlinson.[1] Gladiator, Inc. is based in the U.S. state of North Carolina, where it operates a 25,000 sq. ft. facility producing a wide variety of items for the U.S. Government. The company was recently granted a Federal Workforce Development Grant[2], which will be used to improve the quality and skills of its workers and to achieve ISO 9001:2000 certification. [3] It is designated as a SDB (Small Disadvantaged Business) because it is a female owned-and-operated company, allowing it to receive minority benefits from the U.S. Government. [4] The company has hosted several members of the U.S. Government including representatives from Senator Elizabeth Dole's office and Congressman Bob Etheridge. [5]
