From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nicolaus Ricii de Nucella Campli, or Niccolò Ricci, was an Italian composer, probably of the late fourteenth and early fifteenth centuries. Only a single work by Ricci survives, the ballata De bon parole.

Nothing was known of this composer prior to the discoveries of Giuliano di Bacco and John Nádas, published in 2004.[1] From his name we can guess that he was born or active in Abruzzo. He is listed as a member of the papal chapels of Popes Boniface IX, Innocent VII, and Gregory XII of the Roman obedience from 1401-1410.[2]
