Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:InLovingMemoryOf.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you for making a report about 130.156.48.2 (talk · contribs · block log) on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators are generally only able to block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. Thank you. (Note that "recent" in this case means same-day at least!) The vandal needs to have had a recent final warning. In this case in particular, the talk page header makes it clear that the IP is shared among several users. Therefore we can't assume that the current user has seen any of the previous warnings. They need to be warned today'. WP:AIV states clearly: "Editors: Before listing a vandal here make sure that the vandal is active now, has received a proper set of warnings, and has vandalized after a recent last warning, except in unusual circumstances." May 18th is not recent - certainly not recent enough to be sure that the user has seen the warning. Hope that helps. Waggers 14:19, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Because the original references are perfectly valid. FYI, it says so on the WP guidelines. More importantly, the article achieved FA status (17 or 18 votes of support) using those very citations which you changed. The citation format was even approved by some very experienced users. To be fair, using templates is perfectly legitimate. But unless you intend to continually update the article and therefore prefer to use templates, there is no real good reason to use templates. To be sure, quite a number of the NBA GAs and FAs use manual citation styles, such as Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan and Tony Parker. This style is not limited to NBA articles, see the soccer articles on Thierry Henry and Cesc Fabregas too. Basically, a good citation usually contains the article name, the article source, the article author, the article date, and if an online source, the accessed/retrieved date. An article of course should maintain a consistent and uniform style of citation. Chensiyuan 13:19, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Knighthawks roster

I thought it was easier to add links to the names: (read the brackets doubly here) "[Sandy Chapman]" vs. "[Sandy Chapman|Chapman, Sandy]". It doesn't matter for most players right now, but I'm going to try to make entries for each player this season (with help from others in the Knighthawks Krew). I'm sorry if this throws off the standardization of the rosters.

While we're on the topic of rosters....is there anyway we can show a player is a transitional player (i.e., Steve Toll)? I noticed that the roster code will allow a player to be called a midfielder (MF), but that isn't quite what their position entails. [edit] Speedy deletion of Template:User WikiProject Lacrosse

A tag has been placed on Template:User WikiProject Lacrosse requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

I just wanted to say hello. I noticed that you created the wikiproject: lacrosse and are also a huge lacrosse fan. I also love lacrosse and have been working on a lot of articles on here.
