[edit] (Ill-founded, simple-minded and illogical, AND simplistically stated*) Criticism
Sorry to have to be the first. Your recent edits to Race and crime are unacceptable. Adding over 80 banners to any article is not an appropriate way approach a content dispute; it is vandalism. I have removed most of the banners and have left 6 of the most appropriate and helpful banners at the top. Please see Talk:Race and crime for more information. Thank you. - If I have the ability to back-up each and everyone of those banners - therefore I believe that EACH and EVERY one of those banners is well-justified by the most lofty moral standards of wikipedia.
- Now, I'll try to address each of your points in a reasonable way :
1) Your recent edits to Race and crime are unacceptable.
> Hopefully I can argue against this. If I have severe misgivings about each and every section of an article, I can not only delineate my misgivings about the whole of the article, but make progress towards a better wikipedia by outlining the problems with each section of that article. This would warrant a section by section criticism of wikipedia.
2) Adding over 80 banners to any article is not an appropriate way approach a content dispute;
>>"Adding over 80 banners to any article is not an appropriate way [to] approach a content dispute"
> This is dependent upon the length of the article in general. Though you might argue that several of those 80 banners were unnecessary (for example, repeating banners at the section level when the criticism they entail is just a repetition of an article wide banner), the number of banners used to raise *issues* does seem to be quite a trifling concern my good fellow.
3) it is vandalism.
> Those are harsh words. I will have to refer to Wikipedia:Vandalism. I do not believe that I have *deliberately* attempted to compromise the integrity of Wikipedia. In fact, it has been my attempt to do the opposite of what you are criticising me of (even if I have conceded that some of the banner additions may have been unnecessary subject to (1)).
I will assume that you have alluded to the possible interpretation of my acts as conceivably being 'over-the-top'. 'Vandalism' should be replaced by 'zealousness'.

- - Not all simple-minded criticism is simplistically stated. Like a salesman coming to your door to sell you a faulty product - such criticism can often be worded in an apparently intelligent manner. But is it truthful?
