Promises about prayer Mat 7:7-11 "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 "For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9 "Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? 10 "Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? 11 "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him! Mat 18:19, 20 "Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. 20 "For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst." Mat 21:22 "And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." Mk 11:24 "Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you. Luke 11:13 "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?" John 14:13,14 "Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. John 15:7 "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. John 15:16 "You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you. John 16:23,24 "In that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you. 24 "Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full. James 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. 1 John 5:14,15 This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him

[edit] Fear not, trust in God

Fear not, trust in God. The word “fear” is referred to a feeling of agitation and anxiety caused by the presence or imminence of danger. Everyone can be in this condition if there is such presence of danger, but the Bible teaches us about fear. From the very first Testament till the second Testament, the word fear has been mentioned so many times. It is clear that in our life there are many things that can threaten us, but it is written clearly in the Bible Scriptural that ‘do not be afraid’. What to be afraid of? Why fear? The best weapon that we have as Christian is faith. Paul also wrote to Hebrews that it is impossible to please God without faith (see Hebrews 11:6). This means that if we really want to please God we should have the living faith.

The purpose of fear; Before we get into more details I think it is so helpful to understand the purpose of fear. Fear has its purpose in our life. Fear can have the purpose to make you to stop from doing something that was going to help you and your community. Fear can also stop you from believing the truth and backslide in your faith. But what are the most purposes of fear. The only best purpose of fear is to interfere (or hinder) into someone’s vision (or mission) only to stop him so that he can be ashamed. The result of fear is repeatedly unfortunate.
