The first band in Mqabba is that of Our lady of the lilies founded in 1945, where in 1995 in th eoccasion of its 50th Anniversary it was honored with an Artistic BandStand know as the Plancier Meravilja! In 1993 the society "Tal-Gilju" (Oiur lady of lilies) founded the first youth section in this village with has been working undistrubted for the last 15 whole years acheiving great succeses!
