[edit] New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets
While I understand the attachment that you have to the team you can't add POV to the article. Using the word "steal" as opposed to "keep" is POV (and emotionally charged) and will be reverted. At the same time the article must have the correct logo. If you look at the page you will see I put the logo you added further down in the article as it does need to be there. Once the team returns to New Orleans then the article can be changed (or a seperate one created) to reflect that. I am not doing this to pick on New Orleans but for the sake of correctness. If you look at the history you can see that I also change the article when someone removed New Orleans from the name. This is just a gentle reminder to be carful about your POV when adding to the article. We all have POV and that's why I very rarely add to sports teams that I like. Thanks. - I was just going to let you know that I liked the logo you put at the top. It's very neutral and other than the bit about the city not being able to defend it'self the rest strange thing about the logo is that I was sure I had seen it on the offical site and now I can't find it. Can you give me a few minutes to search and if I can't find it I will amend the article again. Thanks for taking the time to work on your POV (and I have to work on mine) as a lot of people don't bother. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 03:10, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
- You were right the logo is a fake. It's been taken from here and fixed. I can't find it anywhere else. Thanks. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 03:17, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Why do go around erasing history?
Why are you going around removing the "Oklahoma City" from articles with the stated New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets? Has the franchise officially moved out of OKC? And historically, were they never named New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets for two seasons? According to your edits, they were not. That is incorrect. Stop changing New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets to New Orleans Hornets where it does not call for it. A lot of your changes have been reverted as they were all wrong. --203.214.28.75 05:06, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Oklahoma Sports
Hi, I don't plan on getting into an edit war with you over Oklahoma Sports edits. But looking at some of your other edits it does appear you may have an axe to grind. Just for the record, I did enjoy watching the Hornets play and I am glad to see they were able to return to New Orleans. I love New Orleans and wish I were there this week for the Jazz Festival. So, I will not revert your edit, but I do believe my previous edit was a more neutral point of view. It is pretty clear to everyone that the intent of the Oklahoma group is to get a NBA team in Oklahoma City, no matter what type of smoke screens are put up. Anyway, enjoy the Hornets and I hope you will not hold a grudge in the future with Oklahoma for hosting the Hornets for the past two years. -- Xltel 20:04, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
- Bennett cools on Vegas, mentions that OKC deserves a NBA team. "Of course, we know Oklahoma City and we know what this remarkable marketplace can do based on the way it exceeded all expectations over the past two years," Bennett said. "We have said all along, as has NBA commissioner David Stern, Oklahoma City deserves an NBA team, and, we would add, a WNBA team." Looks like the Vegas thing is not really going to work out. They really have a lot of obstacles. Still pretty sure the businessmen in OKC bought the team to go Oklahoma. We will see. And lastly, as I said previously... Thank you for allowing us to watch the Hornets the past couple of years, we all enjoyed them and wish all the best to New Orleans. I am glad to see they are back in their home, where they should be and I apologize if anyone from Oklahoma acted in a way they shouldn't have. I would also like to say there is big money in sports, but sometimes (frequently) it not about making money... It's about sports. Again, thanks and best wishes. -- Xltel 12:20, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
