[edit] How to use this template
This template is used to tag articles maintained through WikiProject Mountains. Use {{Mountain}} on the article's talk page to add it to Category:WikiProject Mountains articles.
Usage syntax:
{{Mountain | class= | importance= | needs-photo=yes | needs-infobox=yes}}
An article's assessment is generated from the optional class and importance parameters. If the article does not have a photo, preferably in the infobox, add the needs-photo=yes parameter which will place the article into Category:Mountain articles needing photos. If the article does not have an infobox, please add the needs-infobox=yes' parameter which will place the article into Category:Mountain articles without infoboxes.
The class should be assigned according to the quality scale on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Mountains/Assessment page, which is identical to the one at Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Assessment. The following values may be used for the class parameter:
- FA - Adds articles to Category:FA-Class Mountain articles
- A - Adds articles to Category:A-Class Mountain articles
- GA - Adds articles to Category:GA-Class Mountain articles
- B - Adds articles to Category:B-Class Mountain articles
- Start - Adds articles to Category:Start-Class Mountain articles
- Stub - Adds articles to Category:Stub-Class Mountain articles
- List - Adds articles to Category:List-Class Mountain articles
- Category - Adds articles to Category:Category-Class Mountain articles
- Dab - Adds articles to Category:Dab-Class Mountain articles
- Articles for which a valid class is not provided are listed in Category:Unassessed Mountain articles.
The importance should be assigned according to the importance scale on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Mountains/Assessment page. The importance scale has been written specifically for WikiProject Mountains, so please read it carefully prior to making assessments of importance for this project. The following values may be used for the importance parameter:
- Top - Adds articles to Category:Top-importance Mountain articles
- High - Adds articles to Category:High-importance Mountain articles
- Mid - Adds articles to Category:Mid-importance Mountain articles
- Low - Adds articles to Category:Low-importance Mountain articles
- Articles for which a valid importance parameter is not provided are listed in Category:Unknown-importance Mountain articles.
If the subpage "/Comments" exists for a talk page, then it is automatically added to Category:Mountain articles with comments.
