Mountain View High School is a high school in Meridian, Idaho. The school first opened for the Fall Term in 2003. They are well known in athletics around the Treasure Valley for having a state-of-the-art track & field complex as well as football field.
The Mavericks brought home their first two state championship titles in the Fall of the 2006-07 school year when the Boys Soccer and Boys Cross Country teams brought home trophies within one week of each other. Mountain View also won state Boys Wrestling in 07-08 year.
The Mavericks also have a very prestigious newspaper, The Freelancer, that has won many awards and is greatly under appreciated. As of 2008 the Co-editors-in-chief are Marcus Roberts and Hailey Huntington. Coordinates:
