The Mountain Velvetbreast (Lafresnaya lafresnayi) is a species of hummingbird in the Trochilidae family. It is found in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests and heavily degraded former forest.
