Mount Starr King is a symmetrical granite dome in Yosemite National Park, whose highest point is 9,092 feet (2,771 m) above sea level.
Starr King's dome requires technical skills or equipment to summit, and is rated class 5 in the Yosemite Decimal System (YDS).[3]
It is named to commemorate Unitarian preacher and political activist Thomas Starr King[2]. It has historically been known by other names, including Kings Peak, See-wah-lam, South Dome, and Tis-sa-ack.[4]
