[edit] Try to remember it's an International sport

Please do contribute and try to remember when editing that Speedway is an international sport and try to weight it as such. Needy areas such as Polish and Scandinavian Speedway information would be a great addition.

I've created the page Speedway in the United Kingdom to try and hive off some of the more obvious UK only parts of the article. - Foxhill 11:39, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

A type of inflatable barrier, i've added another pic to the article to see if that clarifies it Foxhill 18:13, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
They're good for safety of the riders. But they do block the view and they mean that spectators standing near the track don't get showered in cinders :) -- SteveCrook 00:27, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

I have made some major changes to this section, including removing numerous dead red links, and amending to correct English, and moved it to the correct placing in "Domestic events". I have also removed this as it contains way too many red links and also initals without explanation of what they even are. However, I have moved it here just in case someone can try and work on it to improve it if needs be.

The following would be good additions -

Motorcycles -

A diagram/photo of a modern bike with parts labelled (like this but bigger and freely licenced) and info about Speedway Sidecar racing if it's notable enough for inclusion

Countries -

Argentina (taking info from here), Austria, Australia, Belgium, Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Russia, Slovakia, United States of America/Canada/North America and any I've missed

I have added another section in Domestic Events for Denmark. The information I used though is out of date. However, I thought it best to get the section up and running then it can be updated from there. It might also be useful to add a new article Speedway in Denmark as well as similar articles for Sweden and other countries; as well as the article on Poland currently in the process of being created. ♦Tangerines♦·Talk 13:58, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
