This is Shangrila appears in this game (much to my surprise) Should this be mentioned somewhere?

[edit] legacy ...

its legacy is ultimately overshadowed by Wood's death and the bands that its former members would later form

Not a big deal - but the legacy of Mother Love Bone is in no way overshadowed by Pearl Jam or Temple of the Dog. I am not a big Pearl Jam fan - but Pearl Jam is probably the one thing that has really kept the memory of Andrew Wood and Mother Love Bone alive all these years.

There is many stories of bands that almost made it - but didnt because of something tragic. Mother Love Bone is remembered because of Temple of the Dog - and what one of the back up singers from that album, Gossard, and Ament went on to do after - no Pearl Jam - and Mother Love Bone would only by remembered as the answer to a trivia question about the movie "Singles."

[edit]

the shine EP link goes to some Meridith Brooks album. not really sure what to do with that, other than remove the links to the incorrect article. Cacophony 07:17, Apr 2, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Edit 05/10/2006

I removed the following sentence, which I believe to be wholly incorrect:

"Their unique fusion of glam and punk rock music became the prototype for what is now known as grunge, which enjoyed enormous success during the early 1990s."

I don't believe grunge had anything whatsoever to do with glam! Grunge was more like slowed down metal, and eschewed the fancy clothes, prancing and preening associated with glam. Beve 23:39, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

Not to mention the fact that it dosen't meet WP:NPOV and WP:V guidelines. Cacophony 04:32, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
