Richard Watson was born into a respected family of successful clockmakers. After two days, he becomes engaged to a young woman named Lulu Sinclair. It's 1943 and the couple get in their Cadillac and head to Las Vegas to marry. A sudden car failure leaves them stranded on a desert highway. Night falls and they find themselves at a small run-down motel. Magda Von Strupp, the eccentric owner of the establishment, casts a spell on the young couple. Time is running out, as does their desire to become committed to each other forever.
