The Nakea Site Manager is website management tool and the basis of the Nakea On-Demand product. It is the back-end proprietary platform that provides functional capabilities and ease of use. The Nakea Site Manager (NSM) can be thought of as the foundation upon which users build a website. Technically speaking, NSM is a custom-design-based web content management software in its third iteration. The following list of features is only a highlight of NSM’s robust capabilities (a complete list is available)for all the features of these website managment tools:

Intuitive Visual Editor / “What You See Is What You Get”: Nakea Site Manager’s rich text content editing enables non-technical individuals to create and update website content without knowing HTML. The Editor was designed to automate a number of tasks, including resizing and optimizing images. Customers can upload and drop in a number of rich media types, like audio, video and flash movies, with just a few clicks.

Auto Search Engine Optimization: Every page and section of the website is automatically coded using best practices, ensuring that pages are properly indexed by search engines. Additional controls provide customers with easy access to further customize the way each page is described in search engines, if so desired.

Mobile-phone browser capable: All websites developed on NSM will automatically be viewable in a plain text format on mobile phone browsers. The platform will “sniff” out the type of browser being used, and if a mobile browser is detected, the plain HTML site will automatically appear.

Email service: Email will be offered with all subscriptions. All accounts will be given 100MB of disk space, which the account administrator can allocate as he/she desires.

Separation of content and design: The platform makes the separation to ensure consistency, enforce branding, and make it easy to change the website’s look and feel. Nakea Site Manager enforces best practices in publishing to maintain a constant professional design and layout on customer sites.

Managed users and permissions: Protect the integrity of the content by defining who has access to specific content. This means, for example, that a business could set up a number of accounts for staff members and limit what those staff members can do on the site.

Integrated file manager: A central repository for non-content assets (images, PDFs, documents, flash files, etc.), the file manager helps users organize files for use in Web pages or for file sharing.

Dynamic multi-level navigation: A feature that frees content editors from the time-consuming tasks associated with maintaining site navigation. Nakea Site Manager also provides a simple click and position feature that lets customers easily change the order of their navigation.

Automatic Upgrades: Customers are automatically upgraded to the next version when it becomes available, so that they always have access to the latest features and functionality without ever have to install an upgrade or a patch. Suite of Add-Ons

Nakea has six Add-Ons developed and believes that these Add-Ons are more universal in their appeal, rather than industry specific. The current set of Add-Ons, however, can be easily modified into industry-specific Add-Ons for Nakea’s target verticals. For example, the Form Builder could be easily modified into a “Reservation Utility” for the vacation rentals vertical with less than two hours of development time—which serves as just one example of the numerous uses of the existing set of Add-Ons.


Current suite of Add-Ons

Email Marketing Center enables users to collect and store data about their users, and send targeted email messages. This module is similar to other sand-alone products such as Get Active and Constant Contact. For some, the most frequent use of this Add-On will be in creating newsletters, which might inform specific subset groups of specific messages. This Add-On is integrated with the managed users and permissions feature of NSM- meaning that, for example, with one click you can give a contact in the email marketing center access to a “members only” section of a website.

Form Builder allows users to collect data and other information from their customers. With this Add-On, businesses can build forms to suit their individual needs. For example, users could send links to specific consumers that send them to the users’ website to fill out online forms.

Blogs provide an interactive publishing section where consumers can share their news and expertise, and interact with the business and other consumers. The Blogs Add-On is an opportunity to connect with a wider audience and build a community.

Knowledge Base streamlines the entire documentation process for companies to share information with employees, customers, and partners. Our flexible, self-learning Knowledge Base captures and presents current, relevant information to customers in a web self-service mode, thus reducing businesses’ support costs.

Streaming Audio/Video lets businesses quickly and easily upload on-demand audio and video to any part of their website.
