Mosher Joseph Blumenfeld

Mosher Joseph Blumenfeld (b. March 23, 1904, St. Paul, MN, d. November 5, 1988, Hartford, CT) was a Federal Judge for the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. He served on the court from 1961 to 1988. Judge Blumenfeld received a B.S. from the University of Minnesota in 1925 and an LL.B from Harvard Law School in 1928. Judge Blumenfeld was nominated to the court by John F. Kennedy on August 7, 1961, to a new seat created by 75 Stat. 80, confirmed by the Senate on August 15, 1961, and received his commission on August 15, 1961. He served as chief judge from 1971 to 1974 and assumed senior status on January 20, 1977. His service terminated on November 5, 1988, due to death.
