Mortar Mayhem is a freeware computer game for MS-DOS. The game is similar to Scorched Earth and was developed in 2001 by Pelle Coltau and Jens Juul Jacobsen.
The game was developed in Turbo Pascal 7.

In 2003 the game allegedly had a supporters' club in India. Due to the popularity of the game, people started playing leagues of the game, and even betting originated.

Newer Operating Systems, such as Windows XP has some trouble running the game, since it is written for MS-DOS. A guide for making the game run on Windows XP has been written.[1]
