Morris Abrams, born in 1908 was the founder of Arrow Fastener Co., Inc.
Abrams was the first generation of his family to be born in the United States. In 1929, Morris Abrams founded Arrow after seeing an opening in the office stapler market. At first he sold staples for staplers currently on the market but before long he invented his own staplers with new and unique features. Initially the staplers were for the stationary office staplers.
In the earnly 1950s, Morris invented what has come to be known as a Staple Gun Tacker. One of his first staple gun tackers, the T50, is still in production today and has become the leading tool used on the market.[citation needed]
In the 1960s after Morris Abrams became ill, his son Allan Abrams took over the family business which continued to grow and now includes Staple Guns, Glue Guns, Rivet Tools, and Brad Nailers. Morris passed away in 1981.[1]
In 1999 Arrow was purchased by Masco Corporation and continues to be recognized as the leader in the industry for its products.[citation needed] In 2006, Allan Abrams retired and his son Joshua Abrams took over the company.
