Morrelganj is located at 22.4500° N 89.8583° E . It has 61210 units of house hold and total area 460.91 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Morrelganj has a population of 321153. Males constitute are 50.48% of the population, and females 49.52%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 165032. Morrelganj has an average literacy rate of 49.5% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
