Morakinyo "Big Mike" Williams is a 6'11" freshman who came to the University of Kentucky from Solihull, England. In high school, he was named to the All-Tournament team at the 2006 Mid-Atlantic Invitational Tournament. He averaged 14 points and 10 rebounds per game as a senior at Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, VA.

Morakinyo played 19 minutes in Kentucky's 2007 season opener win over University of Central Arkansas. He made 2 of 3 shots for 4 points, had 2 offensive rebounds, 3 defensive rebounds, and 1 assist.[1]

Morakinyo ended his freshman season having played 5 games in a total of 30 minutes. He made 2 of 6 two-point field goals, had 5 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 turnovers. All 5 games he played in were wins against low-caliber teams.
After his freshman season Williams obtained a release from his scholarship at Kentucky and will presumably seek to transfer to another institution.
