Moons and Mushrooms is the seventh studio release of the Gothic Metal band Lake of Tears. It was released in 2007, featuring Magnus Sahlgren on lead guitar as an official member (although he played guitar as a guest artist since 1999). Unlike the previous album, this release makes heavy use of guitars, having a lesser electronic sound. It's Gothic Metal with progressive influences and a touch of psychedelia, making it somewhat similar to the band's A Crimson Cosmos album, although the actual genre of this music group has always been the subject of debate.
