Template talk:MonthRg
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
{{help}} This template is full of redirects in the style of 1 January → January 1. As this is a frequently used template, I think these redirects should be bypassed. However, this is a complicated template and I have no clue how to fix it. Thanks, Reywas92Talk 21:39, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- Do you have any idea what the template is supposed to do, and whether it's generally working correctly? It looks like just a lot of error messages to me. --Coppertwig (talk) 23:26, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- Look at the source of Template:Month3 and you can see how this template is used to create a generic calendar. Psu256 (talk) 20:30, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I realize how it works; this is used on T:Month3 to create custom calendars. There's just tons of redirects transcluded many times, but this is too esoteric for me to change it. Reywas92Talk 22:22, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
- Deactivated {{helpme}} template, as it's intended primarily for user talk pages. With regard to your question, Mediawiki automatically translates dates, as far as I know, to their proper form in that it doesn't even use redirects. I could be wrong, though. You might consider asking at the helpdesk or the village pump's technical section. --slakr\ talk / 04:11, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
