[edit] Assessment

Article is now start or B class. I shall leave it to others to assess this, since i created the article in its present form. Also i would encourage a re-assessment of the importance of the subject. Regards. Anlace 20:54, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Looks like a B to me Srice13 21:09, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
Good grief. This is at least a mid-importance topic. i just read some of the "mid" articles for a reality check, and i couldnt believe how many trivial articles are in that cat: minor politicians, sub-branches of obscure languages etc. This is a major river of central america, which has and does provide the only access to certain parts of interior of belize, besides a rich flora and fauna, a significant eco-tourism resource in belize and not to mention it feeds the second largest barrier reef in the world and is one of the only places to find the endangered manatee.
