"Montuno" (Montuno) was the fourth single released by Gloria Estefan on her first Spanish album Mi Tierra.

This song was released only at UK, while a promotional single was released at the United States at the same time at clubs, "Tradición". This exclusive single contained a special remix of Estefan's classic hit "Dr. Beat", the Hustlers Up-Town Full Length Disco Remix, now to find this special single is so rare and for many fans in considered one of the most rarest singles released by Gloria Estefan.[1]

Also, the then-unreleased "This Christmas" featured at this single, before being released at the Christmas Through Your Eyes Christmas Ep.

The photo of this cover is one of the most famous photos of Estefan, this photo is has been used also for the cover of her compilation The Very Best of Gloria Estefan released thirteen years before this single. It also has been the photo of her past single, "Tradición".
